By appointment only... We are a working farm.
Our tour is educational and exciting. You will ride up and down the hills in a cart with occasional stops as we explain how we farm. Irrigation, pruning, weeding, caring for our trees and why we are organic.
There are no tours during the rainy season. Summer and Fall are the best times to see the trees filled with olives. We harvest in late November. Join us for a fun filled harvest experience.
After the tour, be our guest for a tasting at our home. See the awards we have won throughout the years. It will be a unique experience tasting our award winning oils and pairing them with fine quality vinegars from Italy and California.

My wife and I were in the region on a mission to the local vineyards when our plans changed. We met Richard at a wine & olive oil tasting event that featured some of his excellent award winning oils. He is very passionate about olive oil and took the time to explain in detail the differences of the oils and how farming methods can impact the taste and quality of the final product.
Richard extended an invitation to us to come to the farm and help with the annual olive harvest. We arrived early in the morning of the October harvest to a beautiful hill top farm surrounded by olive tree groves as well as vineyard fields. Richard and his wife Mryna were very gracious in sharing their farming experience, letting us hand pick olives, and explaining the subtle but important difference their farming method has on the quality of the olive oils. We thoroughly enjoyed the time spent and highly recommend visiting and trying their oils.

My wife and I visited Richard on his olive farm the day after Thanksgiving. We showed up unannounced and, still, Richard dedicated 3 hours personally touring us around his property, explaining the history of his farm, and teaching us all about the olive-oil making process from the planting of an olive tree to bottling the oil. We had a fantastic time and learned so much.

"A wonderful experience of an olive tree farm and tasting"
My wife surprised me on my birthday with a visit to this absolutely wonderful olive treel farm. Richard and Myrna welcomed us into their home as if we were family !!
Richard took me and my wife around the farm. Showing us the trees, explaining what it takes in having a olive tree farm: maintenance, harvesting, production, etc....It's absolutely amazing in what it takes to produce this amazing oil.
After the tour of the farm, we went back and tasted the different oils they produce. We didn't want to leave ! I wish we could have whipped up a pasta dinner using the different oils. It brought us back to our trip to Italy.
It's quite obvious the passion that Richard and his wife have in running an olive tree farm. The excitement in his voice when he drove us around the farm, explaining everything it takes to produce a great oil.
We will definitely go back to visit Richard and Myrna and hopefully have another tour during harvesting and maybe this time, we can have that Italian dinner (which of course I will help with)

We went in for what we thought was some basic olive oil tasting but got much more than expected. Richard took us on a trip with his tractor and told us all there is to know about growing olives. After this ride, we went inside his beautiful villa to taste some of Richard and Myrna's world class olive oils and we talked about their interesting lives. Some of the stories were jawdropping. I highly recommend this tour.

"Enchanting Tour with Owners . . . Delicious Olive Oil!"
Richard and Myrna Meisler are a charming couple who retired from the music business and now produce some of the world's best award-winning extra virgin olive oil! Meeting them and taking the tour of their ranch and olive farm is a delightful experience.
On the tour, Richard talked at length about the growing process all the way to milling, bottling, and tasting. Myrna filled in details and shared other fun stories. Afterward, we tasted their olive oil with good local bread. They also have some absolutely delicious vinegars from California and Italy that go well with their olive oil.
We bought olive oil and vinegar to take home and some to share with friends. Apparently, they have a website, too, and when our out-of-town friends can't get to beautiful California, they can order online. (But they should visit and meet Richard & Myrna!)
